Hello Reign Forest Friends!
On Sunday in RF, we finished out the month of June in Acts 10 with the story of Peter and Cornelius. At first, Peter did not fully understand the visions that God sent him of "unclean" animals, but God was showing Peter that because of Jesus, there was no longer a separation between Jewish and non-Jewish people. Anyone can follow Jesus, no matter their background. Peter shared the good news about Jesus with Cornelius, a Roman commander, and his household. They put their faith in Jesus and were baptized! Peter realized that God does not show favoritism and accepts people from all nations who fear Him and do what is right. The Gospel message is for everyone! As we follow Jesus, we learn how to live and love like Jesus. Over and over, we see how Jesus spent time with everyone - from wealthy leaders to people who were considered outcasts or unimportant. Jesus even hung out with people from non-Jewish backgrounds. Bottom LIne : Accept one another. Jesus loved and accepted everyone. We may not agree with everyone, but we can still treat them with love and respect because they are made in the image of God. We show Jesus' love and that the Gospel message is for everyone by the way we treat people. There is still plenty of time to "catch-up" on learning Bible memory work! We sang the "Books of the Bible" song on Sunday and it great to hear so many of the kids singing along by memory! Have a great weekend, The RF Team
