Hello Reign Forest Friends,
This Sunday in RF, we talked about the importance of caring for each other. In Galatians 6:2, the apostle Paul wrote to the Colossian church about carrying each other's burdens. One of the ways we can do that is through caring for one another. We looked at the Good Samaritan story that Jesus told in Luke 10:25-37. In this story, as others passed by, a Samaritan stopped to help the hurt man who was Jewish. In Jesus' time, Samaritans and Jewish people were enemies and tried to stay away from each other. Jesus made it clear that God's love is for everyone. We are not supposed to just look out for the people we know or like, but we are called to care for ALL our neighbors which means anyone who we meet who has a need. Bottom Line: Care for one another. God's love is for everyone, no matter who they are and if they have done right or wrong. Sometimes, the person in need doesn't look the way we expect. And sometimes, the chance to love others shows up when we're busy or headed somewhere else. But LOVE stops, helps and cares. So whenever we see someone in need, we can do what the Good Samaritan did. And when we love our neighbor, we're living it out and loving like Jesus.. The kids are doing a great job with their Bible Memory! We plan to celebrate ALL the kids for their Bible Memory on Sunday Aug 24 during Reign Forest. So, there is still plenty of time to "catch-up" on learning Bible memory work! Look for a separate email to come with more details for our upcoming Bible Memory Celebration! Blessings, The RF Team
