Hi Reign Forest Friends, Today in class we decorated papers to celebrate the fathers that God has placed in each child's life. For our Bible story, we head to Luke 6: 6-11 and learn about when Jesus heals on the Sabbath. One Sabbath day, when Jesus was teaching, a man with a twisted hand was there. Jesus said, ‘What does the Law say we should do on the Sabbath day? Should we do good? Or should we do evil? Should we save life? Or should we destroy it?’ Jesus told the man to stretch out his hand. The man reached out and his hand was whole and good as new! The religious leaders were angry because they claimed Jesus broke the Sabbath law. Jesus didn’t break God’s law; He broke the extra laws that had been added over the years.” Jesus wasn’t worried about Himself. He chose over and over again to focus on the needs of others. He cared for the man with the twisted hand and healed him. He didn’t care what the religious leaders thought! Jesus knew that God was pleased with His willingness to help a hurting man. Bottom Line: Look out for one another. Memory verse: All the Old Testament and New Testament books of the Bible have been taught and given to the children to memorize. If your child is working on memorizing them, please encourage them to keep practicing. Some of the children find it helpful to sing Wee Sing Old Testament and Wee Sing New Testament to learn the different books of the Bible. Attached below is the take home paper for this week. Have a wonderful week, The Reign Forest Team Your browser does not support viewing this document. Click here to download the document.
