Every Sunday morning, spend time with a group who, like you, seeks to live out the purposes of God in their everyday lives. For the fall Sunday School quarter, Blainsport Mennonite Church offers three class choices for adults. Meeting September through November, each class gives you the opportunity to select a course that best fits your learning style and interests. Each class is designed to help adult learners pursue an active, lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ. Classes gather at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
To get involved, all you need to do is show up. You can find class locations posted all around the church or feel free to ask someone to point you in the right direction.

Options for this fall include lectures and discussions based on the International Sunday School lesson, a video-based series, and a spiritual growth track that involves reading through selected New Testament passages
Standard Lesson Quarterly DescriptionThe lessons for this quarter focus on the uniquely creative and re-creative activity of the Lord God. The lessons are drawn from Genesis, the Bible’s book of beginnings. Genesis is rightly associated with God’s work as Creator. But Genesis also emphasizes God’s power to re-create, to address what happened when his “very good” creation (Genesis 1:31) became very bad due to sin (Redford, 2018).
The Standard Lesson Quarterly® is a richly resourced adult curriculum based on the International Sunday School Lessons (ISSL)/Uniform Series. Reliable Scripture exposition, culturally relevant examples, and timely discussion questions engage students and give the Bible lesson meaning in their everyday lives. This class uses the NIV® as a basis for the study. |

Christian Living Video-Based Class
Two DVD series beginning with Relat(able): Making Relationships Work by Louie Giglio (6 sessions), and facilitated by Sheldon Zeiset and Clint Wise. Because God has gone to extraordinary lengths to relate to us, we have the potential to build incredible relationships with one another. Giglio explores the fundamental question of what makes us relatable to others.
Followed by Forgotten God by Francis Chan (7 sessions) - Today's church admires the gift of the Holy Spirit, but have we neglected to open it? Chan tears away the wrapping paper and ribbons to uncover the source of the believing community's true power for witness and service.

Reading Scripture
|
Romans through Revelations facilitated by Ed and Janet Martin and using our pew Bibles, the New Living Translation. Participants will be invited (not required!) to read the Scriptures together in class. This class will concentrate primarily on reading these books aloud, allowing the Word to speak. There will be little discussion time.
