Below is our memory verse plan.  May God bless your child and your family as we study God’s plan to Win Against Sin.
  • May 18 – Lesson 1 – Ephesians 6:10  Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
  • May 25 – Lesson 2 –Ephesians 6:11  Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.
  • June 1- Lesson 3 – Ephesians 6:12  For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
  • June 15 – Lesson 4- Ephesians 6:13 Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil.  Then after the battle  you will be standing firm.
  • June 22 – Lesson 5 – Ephesians 6:14  Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body  armor of God’s righteousness.
  • July 6 – Woodcrest No Verse
  • July 20 – Lesson 6 – Ephesians 6:15 For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.
  • July 27 – Lesson 7 – Ephesians 6:16  In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil.
  • August 3 – Lesson 8 – Ephesians 6:17  Put on salvation as your helmet and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.
  • August 17 – Lesson 9 – Ephesians 6:18  Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion.  Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all the believers everywhere.

The Armor of God

Hello to all friends and family of the Reign Forest!

This past Sunday we read from Ephesians 6:10-18.  We learned that God has set in place tools called The Armor of God to help us Win Against Sin.  For the next few weeks we will look at each piece of armor that God has designed for us to wear.  We learned that we are in a battle that Satan is trying hard to win but if we use God’s Armor and stay close to God we can Win Against Sin.  Satan is constantly trying to get us to sin to keep us away from God but when we do sin, God’s forgiveness clears the way for us to be close to Him again.  We cannot see the battle going on around us with our eyes, just like we can’t see God or see Satan.  God has place angels around us for protection, but we cannot see them.  Just like God has angels doing work for him, so Satan has angels working for him.  Though we are in a war, we do not need to be frightened for God is with us and for us!

Some of these concepts are hard for these little ones to understand. Please be listening and ready for questions from your children this week and for the next few weeks as we teach this series.  We feel that we need to teach the children about God’s Armor and God’s Power while they are young so they have the tools to fight as they face the battle that starts so early in life.  The awesome part of teaching these lessons is that we already know that God is the Victor in this battle!

The verse for this week is:  NLT  Ephesians 6:10  Be Strong in the Lord, and in His mighty power.

Note:  we will be learning our verses from the New Living Translation

May God bless you all this week as you find yourself in the battle, fully engaged and Serving our King!

Cheryl, Jessi, and Anita
