For week four, we head to Matthew 16:13-20. Jesus asked his disciples about who people thought He is. Then Jesus turned the question on them: after everything they’d seen Jesus do and heard Jesus say, who did they think He was? This gave Peter the perfect moment to declare what he believed about Jesus—that He truly is the Son of God.
Bottom Line: Practice talking about God. We can know God better by talking about Him with others. As kids process their growing faith, they will have questions and doubts. We want kids to practice the faith skill, TALK, and learn how to talk through their questions about God with others who believe in Jesus. Memory Verse (#27): And then he (Jesus) told them, ‘Go into the world and preach the Good News to everyone” (Mark 16:15, NLT). Blessings, The Reign Forest Team

Hi Reign Forest friends,
In week 3, we read Luke 11:1-4. Here, we find Jesus’s disciples asking Him how to pray. Jesus responds with a prayer that serves as the perfect model for how we can talk to God. We can pray with gratitude and honesty, pray for our needs and forgiveness. It’s comforting to know that we can pray, knowing that God knows us and wants to hear from us. Bottom Line: Practice praying to God. We can pray anytime, anywhere because God is always listening. We hope kids will understand more about the faith skill, PRAY, and find that talking to God is an essential part of growing in their faith. Memory Verse (#26): “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere” (Ephesians 6:18, NLT). Have a wonderful week! The Reign Forest team Hi Reign Forest friends,
This month, we’ll help kids discover that one of the best plans they can make is to commit to an ongoing relationship with Jesus. Commit to practicing faith by reading God’s Word, praying to Him consistently, talking about Him with friends, and living out that faith every day. This past Sunday, we kicked off the month with something Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 9:24-25. So run in a way that will get you the prize. All who take part in the games train hard, (NIrV). Paul used running in a race as a way to talk about our relationship with God. A growing relationship with God isn’t something that happens overnight; we need to practice it. The verse sets up the rest of the month for how we can practice our faith. Bottom Line: Keep practicing what matters most. What matters most? We think it’s a growing relationship with Jesus. When it comes to getting things done, more often than not, you need a plan. The same is true in your relationship with Jesus. We hope kids learn some practical steps to make a plan to prioritize growing an everyday faith in Jesus. Memory Verse (#24): “Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come” (1 Timothy 4:8, NLT).
