In week four, we head to 2 Chronicles 10 and discover what happens with Solomon’s son, Rehoboam. When he took over as king of Israel, the people pleaded with him to make their lives easier. Rehoboam received counsel on both sides of this issue, but rather than acting on the advice of his father’s advisers; he acts on the foolish advice of his friends. This ends up causing a split in the nation of Israel, creating Israel and Judah.
Bottom Line: Hang out with wise people. Who we choose to spend our time with influences not only choices but who we are. We pray that kids learn that when they surround themselves with wise friends, they will be more likely to make wise choices throughout every area of their life. We look forward to this Sunday and celebrating ALL the children’s hard work at memorizing God’s word. We are so proud of ALL the children and the Bible verses that they memorized throughout the year, whether that was at home, with school, or with Reign Forest! Blessings! The RF Team

Hello Reign Forest Friends!
For week two, we head to 1 Kings 2:4-28. The time had come for King David’s son, Solomon, to take the throne. When Solomon became king, God offered Solomon the choice of anything to help him rule the kingdom of Israel. Instead of choosing power in wealth, Solomon chose wisdom. Quickly, that wisdom was put to the test. Solomon had to arbitrate a difficult moment between two women. God helped him make a wise ruling that solves the situation. Bottom Line: Trust God to give you wisdom. Wisdom isn’t necessarily something that we have overnight. It takes time to learn how to put wisdom into practice. We might not always know which choice is the wise choice. That’s why we chose to share this story about Solomon. We pray that kids will understand that God can give them wisdom in any circumstance. All they have to do is ask. Blessings, The Reign Forest Team Hi Reign Forest Friends,
This month we will focus on the importance of searching for wisdom. When Jesus was a boy, He grew in wisdom. God wants us to discover wisdom, too. When we make a wise choice, we reflect the character of Jesus to the people around us. That’s why giving kids a strong foundation of wisdom is important. We want to equip them to face down whatever choice they may face in the future. Today, we started the month with Jesus and our only glimpse into His life as a child. In Luke 2:41-52, we discover that Jesus knew His Father’s house was where He needed to be. Jesus grew in wisdom, faith, and friendship, and this is the model we should follow as we seek to grow in our relationships with God. Bottom Line: Wisdom is worth searching for. Kids are growing up in the information age with access to more data than we could need or imagine. But our knowledge is only as good as how we apply it. We pray that kids find value in searching for wisdom through God’s Word, trusted friends and Small Group Leaders, and their families. Wisdom is out there; we just need to find it. Also, we want to invite all of our RF friends to our Memory Verse Celebration on Sunday, August 29, during RF. We are so excited and proud of ALL the children in their efforts of memorizing God’s Word. It is so important to have God’s word hidden in our hearts. We know everyone works hard at memorizing Bible verses, whether in Reign Forest, at school, and/or at home, and we want to celebrate! Come join us for lots of fun with games, treats, and prizes. If your child met the RF Bible Memory Challenge and memorized all 30 verses, your child will be awarded the grand prize during our celebration. Like previous years, we will be giving each child that met our Bible Memory Challenge a gift card to their favorite store. Please let Anita know your child’s choice of gift card by Sunday, August 22.
