In Reign Forest this Sunday, we are celebrating the children’s accomplishments with memorizing Bible verses. Many children have reached our goal and memorized 30 Bible verses within the past year. We value the importance of knowing God’s Word by heart and are very proud of all the children’s hard work and effort in memorizing these Bible verses.

Hi Reign Forest Friends,
Our theme for the month of August is Respect: Showing others they are important by what you say and do. God is the all-powerful, Creator of the universe. There is no one else who has the position or power of God. We can’t help but respond to Him with respect. When it comes to people, everyone is important for two reasons: God made them in His image and Jesus died for them. That’s why respect is also a reflection of the character of Christ in us. When we see people like Jesus sees them, we can show everyone they matter to God. Today, we looked at Matthew 8:5-13 where we found a Roman Commander. The commander was in charge of his men, who did whatever he told them to do. Yet, when his servant became seriously ill, he realized that he wasn’t in charge anymore. He had no power over his servant’s health. He respected that Jesus had authority to heal his servant and had faith He could do it. Jesus honors the centurion’s faith and heals the servant. Bottom Line: Show respect to God because He’s in charge of everything. Our respect begins and ends with how we respond to the all-powerful creator of the universe. Our respect for others flows from how we understand God’s power over the world. Just as a reminder, our memory verse celebration will be on Sunday, August 27. Please let Anita know your child’s prize request by Sun. Aug 20. Have a great week! Enjoy this beautiful weather. Blessings The Reign Forest Team Hi RF Friends!
Last Sunday, in RF, we finished up our lessons on uniqueness - discovering who God made you to be so you can make a difference. As people who follow God, we have each been given different gifts. God wants us to use the unique gifts He has given us to do good in the world. Bottom Line: God made you to do good. The kids used their creative gifts to do good by making "thank you" cards for Brooke and Micah. We have appreciated their assistance in RF and want to wish them well as they transition to new adventures! If your child was not in RF on Sunday, he or she is welcome to make cards for Brooke and Micah and bring them to RF this Sunday where they will all be given to Brooke and Micah. Blessings! RF Team |
