Hello Reign Forest Friends,
This past Sunday in Reign Forest, we started our theme for November – HONOR – Letting someone know you see how valuable they really are. We looked at 1 Samuel 16:1-13 where God was ready for a new king and sent the prophet Samuel to Jesse’s house to anoint one of his sons as the next king of Israel. Samuel was surprised when God didn’t choose the oldest and strongest of Jesse’s sons. Instead, God had something different in mind. He wanted a king who was a man after His own heart. God chose David, the youngest of Jesse’s sons, to lead his people. Bottom Line: Honor others by giving them a chance. Often we have people in our lives that we tend to overlook. This story reminds us that God has a different way for us to look at the people around us. God looks inside people’s hearts rather than only their outward appearance. We can give people a chance because that's what God does for us. We also introduced our Christmas play that we will be performing for everyone on Dec. 18 during the Worship Service. The kids are very excited! We will be taking a break from our Bible memory verse challenge from now until after the Christmas play, and instead we will challenge the kids to memorize their Christmas play lines. Just a reminder, we will be collecting food items this Sunday for EASS! Blessings, The Reign Forest Team
