This week, we headed to Acts 16:11-15 and met a woman named Lydia. Paul and Silas were traveling around and telling people about Jesus. In the city of Philippi, they headed down to the city riverbank where they thought they’d find people worshiping God. While they were there they met Lydia, a wealthy business owner. Lydia used her gift of hospitality to make Paul and Silas feel welcomed. She used her gifts to help others feel loved.
Bottom Line: God made you to love others. God has given each of us gifts that we can use to show love to others. We pray that kids will realize that part of what it means to be created in God’s image includes reflecting His love to the people in the world around them. Have a wonderful week! Hello friends and families of the REIGN Forest,
This month we are focusing on Uniqueness - discovering who God made you to be so you can make a difference. Today we looked at Acts 8:26-40 and learned about an encounter between Philip and an official from Ethiopia. As the Ethiopian searched God’s word and had questions about faith, Philip pointed him in the right direction and showed him that Jesus was the answer to those prophecies long ago. Our Week#3 bottom line is God made you to follow Jesus. God wants to have a relationship with us and made a way for that to happen through Jesus. This week, we pray that kids will realize that no matter who they are or what they’ve done that God made them to have a relationship with Him when they believe in Jesus. Until next week, 😊 The REIGN Forest Team Hello Reign Forest Families!
This month we are focusing on Uniqueness - discovering who God made you to be so you can make a difference. This week we turned to Genesis 12, we find a man named Abram, who eventually we come to know as Abraham, the father of God’s people. But long before that, God called Abraham to go on a journey with many unknowns because of a really BIG promise. Abraham was willing to follow God and go wherever He led. In the end, God made good on each of the promises He made to Abraham. Week #2 Bottom Line: God made you for an adventure. God may not call us on a journey to another country, but at some point, God will call us to do something out of our comfort zone. We pray that kids will learn to listen and recognize God's leading in their lives and follow it, trusting that God will keep His promises to us, and that no matter what happens, He made them unique for whatever adventure comes their way.
