Helmet of Salvation

Dear friends of the Reign Forest,

This past Sunday we again talked about “How to Win Against Sin”.  We learned about the 5th piece of the Armor of God, the Helmet of Salvation.  We used a hard- boiled  egg for our object lesson.  After writing with a black permanent marker on the egg all the sins we could think of, we started to peel    the egg.  The soft white egg showed how our hearts look after we ask Jesus to take away the messiness of our sin.  We are now clean and white.  We still sin sometimes but now our hearts are soft and white and Jesus can make us more like Him each day.  When we put on our Helmet of Salvation we have full confidence that Jesus has saved us from our sins and Satan has no power to throw lies of doubt in our face. 

Our verse for this week is: 

Ephesians 6:15— For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.
